Exciting news!

I have come up with a new idea that I am going to be releasing for testing in June @ my Congo The Leaf Shoppe. It is a combination of knitting and tunisian crochet. This will allow for the bulletproofness of tunisian, with the stretchy waistband and general knitting appeal. I will post pics here after I get the kinks worked out of my pattern. I just had to share.

I really needed to update my customs list so that I know where I am at and you can know where you are at as well.

1)Amanda - shorties - Finished, they are just drying and should be mailed out by Wednesday.
2)Shadow - shorties - Just have to put on one more cuff and then they will be ready to ship out.
3)Dawn - capri's - Yarn arrived and I have started the first leg
4)Lori - shorties - Yarn arrived and I hope to start on them by the end of the week or the first of next week.
5)Courtney - shorties - Waiting on yarn
6) Julie - shorties? - Waiting on yarn

I have finished these really cute shorties. I love how the ruffles turned out. I think they will look really cute on the little girl they are headed to. :)

Update on customs for Carrie and Sharleen

Ok, here are pictures of the progress that I have made on Carrie's longies and Sharleen's shorties. I really like how both of these are turning out. I should have them both finished by the end of the week.

Mane shorties finished!

Just wanted to show off Lori's Mane shorties for Miss Millie. I think that they turned out really well and I hope that Lori agrees. I have pictures of the front, the back and the inside for you to see.

Here is the inside. The patterning of the yarn looks really cool from the inside. :)

Back from the abyss

Ok, after a much longer break than I had anticipated I am now back at work! Woohoo!After the tendonitis went away all 6 of us came down with Fifth's Disease from the middle of January through the middle of February. That was so not fun!

It is nice to be back in action. I stocked at the Leaf Shoppe on February 12th and have a custom shorties slot, a pair of medium shorties, and a cute girlie sleepsack there for your drooling and hopefully buying pleasure. ;) http://hyenacart.com/TheLeafShoppe

I plan to try and stock my main hyena store in the next week or two but we shall see. Big new for me. I have custom orders! So I will be keeping a log of my progress here on my blog. I will get the list together later today and update status' and maybe get a picture or two up if I have time. Keep your fingers crossed that I can get a teensy bit of work done having all 4 kids home today. *sigh*

Taking a short pause

I have been forced to take a short pause in working. The tendinitis that I have had off and on for the past 5 years is flaring up again in my right thumb. This of course is my work thumb. So in order to not do more damage, I am taking a week off to let the tendons rest and heal. This means that I have had to postpone my next stocking for my store. I will post here when I am ready to stock again.

In other news, I am working hard at writing up a pattern to make Tunisian Crochet sleep sacks. It gives me something to do until I can actually go about making them. :) I will post when I am ready to introduce them on HC. Stay tuned for more info and send some healing vibes my way.

Welcome to Bedlam

I am hopping on the blog bandwagon! I will use this blog to post updates about my store, my custom orders, when things have shipped, as well as future stockings in both my store and the Congo I belong to.

I am so happy with the way my Grand Opening went on the 15th. I actually sold a few things and this of course was a nice ego boost. Now to get these items out in the mail. :) So tomorrow the toddler tunisian longies will be making there way to their new home. I am hoping to get to the PO to brave the customs forms for my international order. I will post tomorrow how that went. *Can you tell dealing with my local postal workers fills me with joy?* Hopefully I will get the one worker that actually seems to know what she is doing.

I am hoping to stock my store again on Tuesday November 20th @ 3pm. I have a nice collab that I am happy to be a part of, as well as some more woolies looking for new homes.
